Kindergarten Readiness
From birth to five years, parents play a critical role in their child's developing language, literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. Talking with your child develops vocabulary. Reading to your child provides a foundation for early literacy skills. Simple counting activities around the house and in the neighborhood build beginning math skills. Each positive interaction you have with your child strengthens their social and emotional well-being.

Benefits of early learning include:

--entering school prepared and eager for learning.

--fostering social and emotional well-being by developing strong bonds with parents and caregivers.

--empowering parents and caregivers to be their child's first and best teacher.

Children are born learning. Building on this natural curiosity while providing a strong foundation for learning prepares young children for a successful kindergarten experience.
