Puyallup School District Goes Green!
The Puyallup School District, in partnership with non-profit organizations, uses the Peachjar electronic flyer communication system to communicate flyers approved
by the district as having social, recreational, or educational value to
students. The flyers are posted on school websites and parents receive
email notifications of the posted flyers electronically via Peachjar.
Peachjar replaces
paper flyer distribution as part of our efforts to be more
environmentally friendly and to use innovative technology. Through
Peachjar, each school can send school information e-flyers to its
families. Outside nonprofit organizations can send approved e-flyers to all families in the district or individual schools and also request that they be posted on individual schools or the district website.
The flyer distribution is regulated in accordance with Board Policy and Regulation 4230 & 4230R - Communication with Students.
Flyer procedures for non-profit organizations
1. Visit the Frequently Asked Questions below to learn more.
2. Go to peachjar.com and choose Register to set up your account. Use the drop-down box to identify yourself as an “Enrichment or Community Organization."
3. Upload a PDF of your flyer for approval.
Peachjar will submit the flyer to the Puyallup School District's Communication Department for review. Once approved, your flyer will be emailed to parents and posted online for each school indicated. Note: Peachjar charges outside organizations a small fee for this service that is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers to students.
School-sponsored flyers
School-sponsored
flyers, including PTA/PTO events, can be posted online by school
district staff as visually engaging images and emailed to parents. Parents can also access their child’s
school flyers through the Peachjar button that is located on your
school’s website.
Copies of flyers posted on the school’s Peachjar page will also be available at the school upon request.
Schools will not post flyers for outside organizations without district approval.
