Should I take:

• AP Computer Science-A: APCS-Principles
Ideal course for any student willing to be creative, inquisitive and innovative!

Student will learn:
     • Broader aspects of computing
     • Student will explain how computing innovations and systems impact and contribute to computing culture.
     • Learn to program in Java Script

AP Exam:
     • Create Performance Task completed DURING the course and end of course multiple choice exam.

Prerequisite: None

Credit:
     • Math elective
     • Science elective
     • Occupational Ed

Or should I take:

 • AP Computer Science Principles: APCS-A
Great course for students intending to enter college as computing or engineering major or have previous coding experience.

Students will learn:
     • Computing skills related to programming in JAVA
     • Analyze, write and test code as they explore concepts like modularity, variables and control structures.

AP Exam:
     • Multiple choice and free response questions

Prerequisites:
     • Algebra 1 helps and familiarity with functions found in the uses of function notation
