Taskforce: Health & Safety

The taskforce work will align with the K-12 guidance provided from the WA State Department of Health and incorporates information from CDC Interim Guidance for Administrators of US K-12 Schools and Child Care Programs--Plan, Prepare, and Respond to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), K-12 Schools and Child Care Programs and CDC COVID-19 Considerations for Schools.

The Health and Safety Taskforce will also use the recommendation of the Instructional Taskforce to analyze operational implications of supporting various instructional models.   

 

Goals and Objectives 

  1. 1.  Examine and identify needed resources for implementation 

  1. 2.  Design implementation plans that support instructional models 

  1. 3.  Evaluate and analyze general guidance, factors reducing transmission, partial and full outbreak scenarios, and protocols around cleaning and disinfecting 

  1. 4.  Recommend operational modelfor Board consideration in August

Taskforce Members 
 The taskforce is comprised of department administrators representing Operations, Safety and Security, Student Health, Maintenance, Transportation, Food and Nutrition Services, and Human Resources.  Additional members include staff and building principals, and parent/community leaders.
