Hundreds of students from the Puyallup School District participated in the 84th Annual Daffodil Festival Grand Floral Parade on Saturday April 8.
Despite the wind and rain students marched in this annual parade. The parade made several stops throughout the day including Tacoma, Sumner, Puyallup and Orting.
On the Royal Daffodil Court Float 23 Daffodil Princesses waived to thousands of community members lining the parade routes. Representing the Puyallup School District were:
Princess Jane McDonald from Emerald Ridge High School
Princess Macy Nuber from Puyallup High School
Princess Meghan LaLiberte from Rogers High School
Junior high and high school bands joined with more than 100 other parade entries including marching bands, pirates, dignitaries, clowns, equestrian units, as well as floats decorated with thousands of fresh-cut daffodils. Representing the Puyallup School District were:

The Daffodil Parade is held each year on the Saturday before the start of the Washington State Spring Fair in Puyallup. The Puyallup School District will host the 4th annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Showcase this year on April 22 and 23. The 12th annual Honoring Cultures Diversity Celebration will also be April 22.
