Congratulations to the Class of 2016!

Saturday, June 18 was a time for celebration for nearly 1,600 Puyallup School District graduates. With family and friends in attendance on the rainy June day, graduates celebrated as they reflected on the past and looked confidently towards their future.

Students from Emerald Ridge, Puyallup, Rogers, and Walker high schools, and Puyallup Digital Learning attended individual high school graduations throughout the day. This was the first year the Digital Learning program participated.

There were a number of speakers at each graduation. The motivational messages reflected on the past and also focused on the future. The graduates were reminded that they have the opportunity and responsibility to choose their own destiny. They were asked to look outward in life by being compassionate, agents of change, investing in people and community, and to work hard and ‘be yourself.’

Graduation rates in the Puyallup School District have reached record highs in recent years. The Puyallup School District had a record high 86.6 percent of students who graduated on time in 2015. See more graduation statistics.
