Maddie Names and Kathy Yang are the apparent winners of this year’s Puyallup School Board election. 

The Pierce County Auditor’s Office will certify the results on November 28.

As of November 8, incumbent Kathy Yang has received 6,880 votes (70%) compared to challenger Bart Johnson’s 2,945 votes (30%).

Maddie Names has received 5,975 votes (60.8%) compared to Mike Leuzzi’s 3,853 votes (39.2%). She will replace Pat Donovan, who decided not to seek re-election.

Both directors will take their oath of office at the December 11 school board meeting. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Ballou Junior High School, 9916 136th St. E. in Puyallup.
